Mike grew up in the wrestling business as the son of Ted DiBiase,. Grandson to Iron Mike DiBiase, and Godson to Terry Funk. Mike also grew up an athlete raking up numerous awards in amateur wrestling. He also went on to play college football and semi-pro soccer.

Mike began his wrestling career in April of 2006 when he joined the Harley Race Wrestling Academy. After three months of training he debuted along with his brother Ted Jr. in Eldon, MO. That night the two men made an upset victory over current Tag Team Champions, at the time, Ty Dalton and Angelo. Then, in December of 2006. less than one year in the business, Mike and tag team partner Wild Wade Chism captured the WLW Tag Team Championship. With future tours with Pro Wrestling NOAH in the works, the future looks bright for this third generation star.
