The faces of Harley Race

To: Non-Profit Groups looking for a fundraiser

From:  Pastor John Warring, Sedan, KS

I’m writing this on behalf of Harley and B.J. Race, who own and manage World League Wrestling, located in Eldon, MO.  On September 12th, 2009, our local Scouts brought in WLW as a fundraiser for the scouting program.  In the beginning, we were a little concerned because our town had not had live pro wrestling for well over 50 years, and because, quite frankly, some independent wrestling promotions tend to be “fly-by-night” operations lacking in professionalism and unsuitable for families.  We are happy to report that both of our concerns were wholly unjustified!

The bottom line is that we made money for the scouts and brought in a good crowd, not only from Sedan, but from the area as well, in large part because of the support and advice we received from Harley and B.J. prior to the event.  In addition, the WLW staff and wrestlers were extremely courteous and friendly, and the show was completely appropriate for all ages.  Finally, Harley and B.J. showed a great deal of integrity, honesty, and concern for the fans throughout the entire process.

Hosting WLW took work on our part, but the results were well worth it. We did well at the gate and are making plans to bring the group back on a regular basis.  If your organization is looking for a unique and family-friendly way to raise funds, my opinion is that you can do no better than World League Wrestling!

Sincerely,
