Johnny Gold is your typical spoiled rich kid from Beverly Hills who enjoys toying with people's feelings and emotions.  One of his favorite hobbies is playing high risk games just to find people's prices.  "Everyone is for sale, and I will find their price," he says.  Gold presently manages the WLW Heavyweight Champion Griz.   Griz is the second champion that Gold has managed, as he is the former manager of WCW's Meng - who briefly held the WLW gold.  "Yeah, I see the potential that people hold, and if they follow my guidance I can help them capitalize on their futures.   However, as Meng learned the hard way, I can break your reign just as quickly as I can help you achieve it.  My people must show me unconditional, unquestioning loyalty."

Another of Johnny Gold's hobbies is the buying and selling companies that have fallen into financial trouble, and he is widely known to be the piranah of the business world, just looking for his next big deal.  He also enjoys collecting anything gold; presently he owns a gold Rolls Royce and a gold Harley Davidson Fat Boy, in addition to tons of gold jewelry.  In his spare time, Johnny can be found trading stocks on Wall Street or shopping on Rodeo Drive - even though he prefers to have things custom made, "Golden Style."
