| Malia Hosaka was not a wrestling fan while
growing up. "Basically, my Dad and brother dared me to go through training", she
said. Malia was trained by the legendary "Killer" Kowalski at the same wrestling
school that produced the WWF's Chyna and Triple H.
Malia has achieved many things during her 13 year career. For starters,
"I've worked against some of the toughest women wrestlers there ever were in this
business - like Leilani Kai and Judy Martin." A major highlight was when Malia
defeated Debbie Combs for the NWA Ladies' World Title in 1996. Malia defeated Brandi
Alexander on October 9th, 1999 for the WLW Ladies Championship.
Malia's favorite parts of the wrestling business are the travel and the fans.
"I've wrestled in more than 40 countries around the world. I probably would never
have been able to go to all of those places had I not gotten into wrestling," she
says. "What I really like about WLW is that everything is based on talent and ability
- and the WLW fans respect that and respond to that. There's not a lot of politics
involved like there is in some other organizations." |
