WLW Profile: Streetfighter Jason Bates

Jason Bates

Height: 6’2"

Weight: 247 lbs

Hometown: Mitchell, SD

Favorite Moves: The J-Walk (Sit out DVD)

Jason Bates watched all the wrestling he could while growing up. As a youngster, his favorite wrestlers were Hulk Hogan, Ken Patera, Harley Race and the Ultimate Warrior. As he grew older and began to understand more about the sport, Shawn Michaels and Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat became his favorites.

Among his career highlights, Bates mentions being able to meet several of his childhood wrestling favorites and traveling to places he never could have seen if he were not involved in wrestling. Most recently, Jason appeared in a tag-team match on WWE Sunday Night Heat. He loved every minute of that incredible experience. In 2006 Bates finally captured WLW gold by defeating the then current Champion Wild Wade Chism. Soon thereafter he completed his first tour in Pro Wrestling NOAH.

Born in Mitchell SD, Bates was trained in Minneapolis by Ken Patera. He has a degree in Sports Medicine and graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell.
