          Derek McQuinn

Dangerous Derek

Hometown: Kansas City, Kansas

Training: Harley Race and All That Matt Murphy

Finishing Move: S.M.D (Spear of Mass Destruction)

WLW Accomplishments:Two Time WLW World Heavyweight Champion,

After a successful collegiate football and amateur wrestling career, Dangerous Derek was on his way to the Harley Race Wrestling Academy to fulfill a life long dream of becoming a professional wrestler. After only 4 months of training, Dangerous Derek made his professional wrestling debut on September 29th, 2001, pinning Marc Godecker. It quickly became clear that Dangerous Derek was going to be a contender for the World Heavyweight Championship and a major force in WLW.

Shortly after his debut, Dangerous Derek took an unpopular path and joined the most powerful group in WLW: the Gold Exchange. Dangerous Derek started training under All That Matt Murphy and Superstar Steve, the WLW World Tag Team Champions at that time. It wasnt long before Dangerous Derek got his first shot at the WLW World Heavyweight Championship. Taking the then-champion the Drill Instructor to the limit, the Dangerous One came up just short of putting the gold around his waist. Dangerous Dereks first taste of gold was in 2004 when during a random team selection, he was paired with T-Money and they won the World Tag Team Titles in the Tag Team tournament finals against Superstar Steve and Trevor Rhodes. Soon after the tag tournament, a shoulder injury put Dangerous Derek out of commission for two years.

Dangerous Derek returned to the ring in March 2007. Knowing he would have his work cut out after the layoff, the Dangerous One trained harder than ever before. Getting tired of Johnny Golds cheap tactics and cheating ways, Dangerous Derek dumped Johnny Gold and the Gold Exchange and decided to go after the title as a true sportsman would. In May 2007 in a 3-way number-one contender match against the Atomic Dog and NOAH Superstar Morishima, Dangerous Derek was victorious and was now the number 1 contender.

On July 13th, 2007 in Waterloo, Iowa, Dangerous Dereks dream came true when he defeated WLW World Heavyweight Champion and WWE Tag Team Champion Trevor Murdoch to finally become the WLW World Heavyweight Champion. Now all eyes are on Dangerous Derek as he is now the target of all WLW Superstars. With the S.M.D. (Spear of Mass Destruction), quickly becoming the most feared move in professional wrestling, it will take more than guts to strip The Dangerous One of the trophy he has worked so hard to earn.

McQuinn lost the title October 27, 2007 and waited nearly six months
to receive a one-on-one rematch.
When he finally had the opportunity to challenge for the World Title
in a singles match April 25, 2008 in Lebanon, Mo., McQuinn pinned
defending champion Chris Masters to win his second World Championship.
